2811 Earth Day Expo: Enhancing Climate Conversations

Each year on April 22nd, the world comes together to celebrate Earth Day - marking the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.

This Earth Day, 2811 invites you to join us as we explore a critical aspect in the fight to combat global climate change - how to enhance climate conversations.

Increasing public awareness and understanding around climate change begins with effectively communicating with one another while sharing our own concerns and hopes for the future.

Communicating about climate change is for everyone! This event requires a minimum $1 donation and is open to anyone regardless of their age or background knowledge on climate issues. All proceeds of this event go towards funding future cohorts of the 2811 Climate Action Academy, a program dedicated to educating teachers of all subject matters on how to empower youth with the knowledge and skills to transform climate concern into action.

We will welcome some amazing guest speakers, who will break down various topics around climate communication.

Participants choose one guest speaker presentation they would like to attend:

Speaker Topic #1: Using Storytelling and Art for Climate Change

Speaker Topic #2: Exploring Eco-Anxiety & Eco-Emotions

Speaker Topic #3: Climate Conversations & Responsibility

Speaker Topic #4: Teaching Climate Change
